    Peter W. Moran is co-founder and Senior Partner of Cornerstone Behavioral Health. Dr. Moran is a licensed clinical psychologist in Massachusetts. Dr. Moran has practiced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment of mental and behavioral health disorders for over 30 years, being one of the original cognitive-behavioral practitioners in Worcester County. Dr. Moran specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders (Panic Disorder, PTSD, Phobias) and Mood Disorders (Depression and Bipolar). He also treats OCD, Trichotillomania, and Skin Picking. Dr. Moran follows protocol driven, research-based treatments stylized to fit each individual patient. Dr. Moran received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah in 1982. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School/Worcester State Hospital. In 2004 he received a Master of Science in Clinical Psychopharmacology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in Boston, MA. Dr. Moran is knowledgeable about current psychopharmacological treatments and their relationships to CBT treatment. Dr. Moran teaches and supervises physician psychiatry residents in the practice of CBT at the University of Massachusetts Medical School where he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. He also teaches psychopharmacology to Graduate Students at Assumption College’s Graduate Program in Counseling Psychology.

    Michael A. Cirillo is the co-founder and Senior Partner of Cornerstone Behavioral Health. Dr. Cirillo is a licensed psychologist and is also board certified by the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology. He conducts comprehensive neuropsychological and psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations for ADHD, autistic spectrum disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, learning disabilities, brain injury and dementia. Dr. Cirillo also provides executive function/educational coaching and has a very small number of therapy cases. An additional area of expertise is Independent Medical Examinations (IME’s) and forensic neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Cirillo sees both children (ages 6 and up) and adults. Dr. Cirillo received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Texas - Austin in 1997, did a pre-doctoral internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, a post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital and a two-year Clinical Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School. For many years he was a neuropsychologist in private practice seeing children and adults referred by neurologists, pediatricians, and child psychologists and therapists. He also worked in the Worcester Public School system as a school psychologist for four years. He is an adjunct faculty member at UMass Medical Center

    Dr. Spisto is a licensed psychologist who practices cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). He completed his pre- doctoral internship at the University of Massachusetts Medical School/Worcester State Hospital and earned his doctorate at Boston University. Dr. Spisto specializes in treating ADHD, Mood Disorders, Anxiety and relationship issues and adjustment disorders. For over twenty years, he has worked as a school psychologist and has extensive experience treating children, teens and families. Since 1993, Dr. Spisto has been working with adults and is a member of the group practice at University of Massachusetts Medical Center.

    Dr. Gorham is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Wheaton College (IL) and her bachelor’s degree from Harding University. She provides psychotherapy to adults, adolescents, children, and families, and has worked extensively with behavioral issues in children and supporting families and couples through relational difficulties and challenging transitions that arise in our complex world. Dr. Gorham also works with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. She has provided mental health consultation and training for faith communities and pediatric rehabilitation therapists, as well as psychological assessment for diagnosis of depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, learning disabilities, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Gorham utilizes many therapeutic techniques rooted in a strong, collaborative relationship. She believes in building on a client’s internal and external resources to provide the best chance of change and achieving goals. Dr. Gorham also teaches master’s level counseling and human resource students, including human growth and development, evaluation, and multicultural counseling.

Antioch University New England Pre and Post-doctoral Training, Dartmouth Medical School Brian Denietolis provides psychotherapeutic services to children, teens, adults, and families, with particular interests in the areas of interpersonal trauma, adoption and foster care, relationship challenges, disruptive behaviors and noncompliance in children and adolescents, grief and loss, depression, and anxiety. He has specialized training in trauma-focused treatments designed to alleviate symptoms of post-traumatic stress in children and teens. He has done clinical work at Dartmouth Medical School, Brown Medical School, Children's Hospital Boston, and UMass Medical School. His therapeutic approach is integrative, developmentally sensitive, and relationally based. When meeting with clients, he utilizes a range of cognitive, interpersonal, and behavioral interventions to help his clients achieve their goals. Within the context of a therapeutic relationship marked by warmth, trust, and empathy, he and his clients work together to develop an approach to treatment that promotes behavioral change and alleviates psychological suffering.

    Dr. Shukair is the lead child psychiatrist at Cornerstone Behavioral Health. He is qualified to work with children and adults. Dr. Shukair received his MD from Damascus University, Syria in 1999. Dr. Shukair completed his General Psychiatry Training Program at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas in 2007, and completed a Child and Adolescents Psychiatry training program at Children’s Hospital of Boston, Harvard University in 2009. Dr. Shukair is Board certified in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Dr. Shukair is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UMass Medical School and has been working with adult and children clients at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester since 2009. Dr. Shukair has a special interest in the impact of psychopharmacology on the interaction between executive function and psychopathology

    Daniel Kirsch, M.D. is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He established and directs the University of Massachusetts Department of Psychiatry College Consultation Service and directs the House Officer and Student Counseling Service. He directed the University of Massachusetts Ambulatory Psychiatry Service from 1993 to 2006. Dr. Kirsch received his M.D. from the Boston University School of Medicine and completed residency training at Boston Univesity and the Cambridge Hospital. Deeply interested in understanding human behavior and distress, he graduated from the Psychoanalytic Institute of New England, East. As biological psychiatry advanced he broadened his understanding as a clinical psychopharmacologist. Dr. Kirsch has had a career-long interest helping young people. As interest in the mental health of college students and young adults skyrocketed in the new millenium, he found he was the right person in the right place at the right time. With 30 years of clinical, administrative, and academic experience behind him; being a respected senior faculty member at the UMass Memorial HealthCare and UMass Medical School; and having deep roots and relationships with the Colleges of the Worcester Consortium and our community; he devoted himself to disseminating his clinical wisdom, studying more modern, realistic, and safer treatment methods used by the world leaders in youth mental health (the Australians), and teaching and training the work force. He published scholarly articles and has been invited to speak at national and international meetings on reducing harm to young adults and training the next generation of treaters. He co-edited a special edition of Academic Psychiatry on training the college mental health workforce. He won the UMass Department of Psychiatry’s Paul Briscoli Memorial Award for Faculty-Resident Academic Collaboration in 2014, and in 2015 he was awarded a prestigious Vitality Award sponsored by the Alfred P Sloane Foundation and the UMass Medical School Office of Academic Affairs. Dr. Kirsch is devoting the rest of his career to caring for our youth, training the next generation of treaters, and advocating for saner and safer care at the national and international levels.     Doronit S. Bloomenthal obtained her Master's in Clinical Health Psychology from Yeshiva University in 2005 and her Master's in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College in 2009. She has worked with adolescents and adults, doing outreach therapy in homes and schools, crisis evaluations and stabilization, and longterm addiction therapy. She has experience working with issues including anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, substance abuse and codependence. She employs the Stages of Change model to help clients identify behaviors that negatively affect their lives, and collaborates on individualized treatment plans to change those behaviors. She uses Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in her practice, helping clients learn to manage stress and regulate emotions in a healthy and positive way. She has an empathic approach, and helps clients work with their own strengths and potential.

    Meghan McIntire, LMHC, earned her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Assumption College in 2013. She employs the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model in her work to help patients manage a variety of issues ranging from everyday life stress and relational problems to chronic mental illness and addiction. Meghan uses "problem focused, problem solving" interventions in order to maximize treatment efficiency and efficacy. By helping patients become more mindful of their psychological experiences, Meghan is able to teach patients to restructure dysfunctional thoughts, modify unhelpful behaviors, and self-soothe distressing somatic symptoms. Meghan enjoys using metaphor, visual-learning techniques, and humor in her work and believes that these tools lead to greater conceptualization of the topics at hand.
